30th November 2024: Theft of tools from Looe Shedders
We discovered this morning that our storage units at St Martin's Community Hall have been broken into and a large number of power tools have been stolen. We've reported this to the police but let us know if you can help in any way - for instance if you hear of someone trying to sell tools at a suspiciously low price. We have photos of all of our tools, which are engraved with the Looe Shedders name on them.
28th November 2024: Meeting Report
Rain was forecast so we decided against doing another "dry run" of assembling the playground tractor destined for Trenode primary school to check whether the seats were strong enough.
But here's some photos of what we did get up to:
Chris sanding one of the front wheels of the playground tractor
Bernie showing two of his ingenious steam engines, much of them made with recycled material. Check out his wonderful website: https://berniesengines.wordpress.com
Sue leading a session on decorating wine bottles, including putting twinkly lights inside them
Andrew, Chris and Colin renovating some wooden planes donated by Andrew
Bob making good around the vent in the boiler room
