Shedder Crafts

Cutlery Art

It is possible to make so many things out of stainless cutlery, but we must admit we are still learning.

Encaustic wax

Pictures and cards can be produced very quickly with almost instant results. You never know how they will turn out or what you will see in them.

Bottle art

Decorating used wine bottles is a great way to recycle. They can be used all year round.

Pyrography

This is the art of writing or drawing with a hot pen to create pictures or writing on wood. Can also be used to decorate wooden boxes. Takes time and patience.

Ceramic coasters/plaques/boxes

This is a fun way to enhance plain items and jazz them up a bit.

Stained glass ornaments

Masters the art of stained glass using the copper foil Tiffany technique making light catchers, ornaments and jewellery. Start with guidance to create a simple sun catcher and learn the skills to go on to designing and creating your own masterpiece.

Automatons

One our members, Peter, makes these interactive devices, the simple versions of which are relatively easy to construct from everyday items such as clothes pegs. He’s happy to help others follow in his footsteps.

Odds and sods

There is not enough space to list all of the crafting activity we undertake. Why not come along and find out what takes your fancy. Or just come and chat!
