Bringing our Young Shedders programme to life

Our vision is to expand Looe Shedders into a multi‑age Community Shed, offering dedicated sessions for young people aged 15–18 who live locally or attend school in Looe. These sessions will run separately from adult activities, providing a safe, structured environment where young people can learn real practical skills, gain confidence and contribute to their community.

What the programme will deliver

• Practical Skills & Real‑World Learning Young Shedders will learn hands‑on skills to a competent, safe standard, producing good‑quality work that meets real needs. These skills support both everyday adult life and potential future trade careers. • Supported by Qualified Volunteers We will seek experienced Team Leaders to guide sessions, ensure safe practice and help young people progress at their own pace. • Fully Equipped & Ready to Grow The programme will be backed by the necessary tools, materials and infrastructure, enabling young people to learn without cost barriers.
